Land Development Code Updates
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the City of San Marcos Land Development Code updates. The City of San Marcos is updating the Land Development Code (LDC) — the set of rules that guides how our city grows and develops. This update includes proposed edits to the LDC to help implement the Vision SMTX Comprehensive Plan, improve development processes, align with state law, and address new types of development. Using this interactive space, you can provide your feedback on the proposed edits!
How to provide your comments:
- Review the Plan: Navigate to the document and select the chapter you would like to review by using the “chapter drop-down” in the top panel. All proposed edits are indicated in red within the document.
- Review the Justification Table: Want to know more about why a specific change is proposed? Open the Code Justification Table here and navigate to the associated edit number to learn more (ex: #2-2).
- Provide Feedback: To provide your feedback, click anywhere in the document to leave a comment.
- Let us know what you think of the edit;
- Propose a new edit;
- Ask a question about a proposed edit.
